For anybody that would like to sail along with
S/Y Realization (Cape Dory 32) and
her crew, or just meet up in an anchorage or two during this year’s
"CDSOA Maine Cruise", a brief description
of the itinerary appears below.
After the Maine Cruise, Realization
and S/Y Norita [the Tayana 37 owned
by Peter van der Kam (ex-CD30, Sgt. Pepper)]
plan on sailing downeast from Robinhood to Little Kennebec Bay.
The van der Kam's will be hosting a barbecue for Cape Dorians
at their place on Sunday, August 26th. If you'd
like to join our little flotilla, our tentative schedule (subject
to change) is below. The date of arrival in Little Kennebec Bay
will be dependent on weather. If we're really lucky and have good
weather every day, we can daysail our way and arrive in Little
Kennebec Bay by Thursday. If we run into bad weather, even with
a couple layovers, there's enough time to get to Little Kennebec
Bay by Saturday.
