The Raritan Bay Float-in, hosted by the Northeast Fleet of the CDSOA, will take place Friday thru Sunday, September 29-October 1, 2006.

Fleet communications will be on VHF Ch. 16 and 72.
Please monitor these channels during the event.
Hail “Cape Dory Fleet”.

If conditions are favorable, we will form a raft-up in the anchorage south of the breakwater and mooring field in the municipal harbor at Atlantic Highlands, NJ. This area is indicated on the chart in Figure 1 below. If we can't raft-up, and that's quite often the case, captains have the option of anchoring separately or renting moorings then crews will gather on one or two of the participating vessels.

If you'd like a mooring rather than anchoring, they are available from the Atlantic Highlands Yacht Club, (phone: 732-291-1118), for $35 per night. This fee gets you unlimited use of the yacht club launch, access to the shore facilities, which include showers and rest rooms, guest privileges in the AHYC clubhouse, and access to the club dock. Please contact the YC to reserve your mooring. The yacht club's launch driver monitors VHF Ch. 9. The launch should be available from noon till midnight on Friday, 8:00 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Sunday.

In the evening we'll all gather on one or two of the boats for cocktails. So bring some snack items to share with the rest of the group in the anchorage and the fixin's for your favorite beverage. Then it's potluck for dinner. No, we don't throw everything into one pot and whatever comes out is dinner, but whatever you bring it’s what we'll have.

If everyone’s amenable, let’s do breakfast together ashore on Sunday morning before heading out! We can decide during the event.

Fees:

Entry Fees (per boat):

CDSOA Members: NO REGISTRATION FEE
Non-CDSOA Members: $5.00 (pay at the event)

Please register online by September 26th!
