This year’s rendezvous takes place in the picturesque town of Essex, CT on the western shore of the scenic Connecticut River.

Sunday evening we’ll gather at The Chandlery at Essex for a group Welcome Barbecue on their dock.

CALLING ALL MUSICIANS/WANNABES/PRETENDERS/ENTERTAINERS! Pack your guitar, your ukulele, your banjo, whistle, flute, drum when you head for the rendezvous at Essex. Make a 'joyful noise' during the barbecue! Sally Perreten will bring her Irish harp, Paul's packing his whistle, Fleet Captain Bob Emmons will be at the keyboard, and we need you to join us. You can play/sing/dance with us, or on your own, or in your own group. A musical free-for-all. A chance to show off what you do when you aren't sailing. A chance to...ay yi yi .....get in touch with your (ahem) inner performer.

Monday morning we'll start things off with a tour of some of Essex's historic homes, then pack your own lunch and hop aboard one of our 'host' Cape Dorys and we'll head farther up river and raft-up in scenic Hamburg Cove. Later, in the afternoon, we'll tour the Connecticut River Museum. You're on your own for dinner, then we'll meet at the Griswold Inn where we'll enjoy their live entertainment and libations.

Tuesday morning and afternoon we have a couple more shore excursions planned followed by a group dinner in the Main Dining Room and Covered Deck of the Essex Corinthian Yacht Club. This year's speaker will be Dixon Hemphill. Dixon was acquainted with Carl Alberg and will provide an anecdote or two about Carl as well as few stories about Watch Hill, RI.
